"Under the Sea" Mixed Media Canvas


Hello there,

It's summer vacation time, my daughters are at home and I don't have much time for crafting. That's why I missed the past few weeks here.
This week I managed to finish this canvas:




I used pieces of patterned paper, texture paste with Newton's Nook stencil and watered down acrylic paints for the background. On the left side I put cheese cloth, a piece of jute, cotton cord. Then I applied some homemade paste and sea shells to form the bottom. I stamped some sea shells and a boat with brown acrylic paint. My focal point is the turtle from Alyce Keegan's pencil coloring class. I also added metal anchor and stars and also die cut branches (die from Sizzix). I embellished with seed beads and glitter. And darkened the edges of the canvas with pastels.
